Your right, this is purely a father and a daugther relationship. Not a perfect one but a good one to follow and you can only understand and appreciate this if your dad and you enjoy such relationship. This will be hurting if it's not true to your experience.

i dont know about all the cofushion about this song. But it has meant so much to me over the years. I have raised my kids for the last six yrs by myself. Their mother is still alive. My oldest daughter is 22 and about to be married. She is now and then girl now lady.My soon to be future son in law who i think a lot of burnt his face in a fire. I hope for my butter fly kisser win she was 4 that he is ok for the wedding . Thanks for reconizing this song.
