Volumes of books have been written about different types of slang. When you say "Major Tom is British slang for drugs" you suggest that it is in pretty common use in certain environments. However, _no one_ but you have written it down. Pretty remarkable. Are you a specialist on British drug slang? Writing a PhD on the subject perhaps?

Slang is created by groups of people given social, political, or ethnic environments. Slang is not created by texts of major publishers. Street gangs constantly have to reinvent slang usage to avoid police detection. You don't understand this. That's why I care not what you find on Google, or wikipedia. OK, I challenge you: give me one independent source (dictionary, newspaper article, link or other) that supports your claim that Major Tom is slang for drugs. Somehow I think that would have been mentioned in Wikipedia, that was the point of the quote. I also made a search on Google to see if anyone could support your claim. Strangely I found none. I have noe idea whether Ashes is slang for maijuana, but have never denied it either so that is totally irrelevant.

You know I am beginning to think you are seriously mentally challenged! I have _never_ disputed the fact that Ashes to Ashes is about drugs, because that is totally obvious. The only thing I said was that Major Tom is _not_ English slang for drugs, which you continued to claim. I notice that you have stopped claiming that so I guess you have realized that it is nonsens. But don't try to make it look like I am the idiot.
