yeah no kidding chill out ya'll. Of course u want the fish to live and all but maybe that was one of the biggest fish he had ever caught. I remember the first lunker i caught on a flyrod. I carried the thing a couple hundred yards to show my dad because i was so proud. Maybe he was excited to go show someone. Didnt look like he was taking the fish up to his car so he could feed it to his dog. Chill out.

You're repeating yourself.

Oh wow. Come on. "God forbid you keep a trout under the limit." It lived so who gives a damn. Some of you people can be so ridiculous. HA. You go too far.

I do appreciate the fact the fish was revived and released, but the purpose of putting it back immediately is to keep it from being stressed so it will make it. The longer it's kept out of the water the more stressful on it. And it is a nice catch.

After much discussion and watching the video many times, we surmised that's what he was probably doing BUT he did not necessarily follow the rules and he could have gotten a ticket. The law says to release the fish IMMEDIATELY after unhooking it. A pic is allowed within reason but that's at the agent's opinion. Taking the fish up a hill probably was pushing the limits of the rule but again, it would be up to the agent if caught. Regardless, nice catch and we're all glad the fish is alive.

Hey Hey. He was only going to show my sister in the car. Then after that he went back down to the water and revived the trout who swam off happily. We are aware of the rules and we follow them well.

This is such a precious fishery !!!! I see this kind of stuff down there often. I only hope the MDC can increase their presence on this and all missouri fisheries to keep these "rookies" law abiding. The two prior comments are from locals whom I have met and are die-hard fisherman !! So, "rookies" be aware....We are watching!!!

I hope the MDC keeps an eye on this guy. I think someone will send it to the agents.

This guy caught an slot rainbow and ran it up to his car.. rainbows are supposed to be released between 12 and 20 inches in this area of Taneycomo and this trout was clearly over 12 inches and under 20. The person taking this video didn't know she was witnessing a crime. I've forwarded it to MDC enforcement for them to follow it up. |
