hey there! great video! i wanted to ask about the "benny powell" cause i recognized that it is al grey because of his playing-style and his look. ive seen, someone wrote it on the comments already that it is al grey! ;)his son is one of my best friends today :)great jazzgreets from oberrieden - zürich

Wonderful tempo, loping along like a big cat on the prowl. I guess that's Sonny Payne on drums, building up the tension before the climactic grand finale. John Bonham of Led Zeppelin fame was inspired to play drums after seeing Sonny Payne, playing with the Harry James band on a UK tour, so the story goes.

I witnessed the greatest performance on that European tour in 1959 at Baumholder Germany,Joe Williams mentioned that performance in later years. I was a 21 year old PFC.
