Apart from putting the practitioners ability in question, the idea is interesting. Traditionally in a "street fight" the kendoka would have been using a formidable sword, able to strike through traditional kali fighting sticks,,but! Today, no one carry's a sword, so it would be a broom stick or something like that, and my money would be on the kali stick fighting.

i think the biggest flaw here is that the kendoka is using a sports oriented style. now if it was a pre-war kendo being used, it'd be a different fight! i have to say it was a fun display none the less!

depends on the user...kali was known to have one of the best offense and defense moves...and kendo has been one of the most respected martial art in the use of weapons...

Also, the Escrima artist should be wearing a doh if fighting against a Kendo artist. That takes one striking point away from the Kendo artist, which was open a lot while the fight was going on.

doesn't seem to me like this guy is doing kendo. where's fumikomi-yash? kiai? kote? do? did they change the rules on the kendoka?
