That's a good idea. That's what we need more of- simple and practical ways of improving safety and efficiency. Kudos!

Again, the patent is for the device that not only rolls hose up to 5" LDH, but coils hose to its minimum inside diameter to accomplish the SAFETY measures demonstrated on this video... This device also functions as a rope rescue hand winch that can be placed in service in moments! 3w's dot hftfire dot com FIght the FIRE... NOT the hose!

OMG!!! The "Art of UNFOLDING A Fire Hose"....... "Just Do It... NO COMPLAINTS" and "Nozzle Abandonment" as "STANDARD PROCEDURE!" ............... Would have made a Great Monty Python Episode......... Unreal !!!!!!
Rofocowboy84 (July 4, 2007 at 7:01 pm)
He didn't patent the load, he patented the design for a device that assists in the making of the load.

this device seems like it makes work a hell of a lot easier, and would work good for a shorthanded small town vol. FD when some times all the hose is still on the drying equipment and u are the only one there at the time and have to get it on the engines. |
