In japan the theme of a kohai (Li) having strong feelings for a senpai (Yuki) is quite common, regardless of gender. It doesn't necessarily mean that the kohai is gay or straight, the attraction most of the time is a manifestation from great respect for the senpai. :3

Yeah. Weird to think that this anime is for kids, but I guess it goes to show you that cultures are different. Some think that some ideas should be censored while others don't.

I have met fanbrats who will defend to the DEATH their belief that Tomoyo "only likes her in a sister way OMG how dare u be so mean as accusing her of being a gay??!!" <--Actual quote, lol.It's really dumb that people have all these negative connotations with the word 'gay.' It's not an insult, it's an orientation that real people identify themselves as. And it's an orientation that CLAMP decided a cool character named Tomoyo would have, and that's that.

me 2 , when i was little i didn't think that tomoyo was attracted to girls, i just thought that the way she acted was funny :P (back then i didn't even know that the words gay or lesbian existed and what they meant)and i also believe that li is gay , for example: when he sees Yukito he starts blushing and runs awaythere could an other reason why but i don't know that one..

... D= I'm pretty sure some losers just automatically thumbs down any comment with the word 'gay,' regardless of context. Or maybe it's all about the context, and they can't STAND the idea that a sweet, adorable, talented girl like Tomoyo is the 'G' word, which is REALLY dumb. I LOVE Tomoyo, and the plain, objective FACT that she is a lesbian and in love with Sakura does nothing to lessen my appreciation of her character. You can't claim to like her while ignoring such an important facet of her.
