its redundant to say italians and europeans bc italy is in europe. all you had to say was the europeans are too advanced, particuarly the italians, if thats what you were trying to say. Thats not true anyway a skyline r35 is the worlds fastest production car.
eletto005 (July 7, 2008 at 12:32 am)
yea but italians arent the only europeans...

Maybe a single cam turbo civic could be called low class rice compared to quite a few cars but at the end of the day those cars can be very powerful--and reliable. I dont think they word rice is appropriate anyway--the east is coming to be the more powerful hemisphere--soon china and india will be producing exotic cars. Some people do use their cars to race, it is a dream of mine I just don't have the appropriate machine yet

An evo is not a lancer. I know on the evo 8 and 9's they only shared the front doors withthe lancer. Nonetheless, no japanese car that I know of could compare to the experience of buying a mclaren, ferrari, lambo, saleen, etc.--its just not the same as having an exotic, an evo doesnt turn heads or sound like a v12. The new skyline is the fastest road car in the world, the evo is not a rice car it has 10 versions and is highly developed--this cannot be called low class rice.

you're right - a modded evo is still just a lancer - different class altogether from a ferrari, no matter what the horsepower. In the end who gives a crap how fast it is 0-60, it's not like you're racing for a living. any lowlife can put a turbo into a 4 cylinder and think it's the f'n sh*t but really it's just low class rice.

Coll. But not for the road.

you're not wrong, europe has the greatest legacy of AMAZING cars, but times are changing. mcclaren, enzo/ffx, gt3, gt2, 959 are some of the greatest cars ever but dont put tweaked sports sedans in the same category as those super-cars, especially that rich mans benz-o. you want to see a killer sedan? search HKS carbon fiber evo.

the previous comment was directed at ferraribmw101 (cliche-ass-sn-dude). dont get me wrong, my fave car is the 997 GT2, one of the few purists drivers car leftcoming out of europe. fuck automatic cars that claim to b drivers machines, id love an ffx but its auto and u cant even drive it on the street. sadly euro sportscars/sedans are beheld by those simply rich, not real enthusiasts. thats why the jap machines are so sweet and pure. you guzzle gas and cant drive. oh and i drive an E28.

not at all. c65amg, m5, rs4 are all bad examples in this league, those are nice cars but they are not exotics. the US CAN produce fanastic race cars; for example, the corvette C6R, or more basically the ferrari killer the new ZO6. that aside, 'yank' manufacturers do not aim to build exotic sports cars. oh, and what do you even know about 'jap' technology? the new $80k skyline gtr holds the fastest time on the nurburbring, the most famous european racetrack. |
