THIS FILM AVAILABLE ON DVD FOR $4 A COPY AT: http://www.lhvm.org/order.htmF... more than 170 years, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has declared the Book of Mormon to be a scriptural and literal history. Subtitled "Another Testament of Jesus Christ," it recounts the story story of an Israelite family who immigrated to and fully populated the American continents. Jesus, after His death and resurrection, is said to have visited this once-great Israelite civilization existing in the Americas. The Book of Mormon teaches that these Israelites are the principal ancestors of modern-day Native Americans. New discoveries in DNA research currently allow scientists to test this historical claim. Thousands of Native Americans from more than 150 tribes have been tested to determine their ancestry. Now the same DNA evidence used in courts of law can credibly speak to the validity of The Book of Mormon, which serves as the foundation of the Mormon religion. The evidence answers one basic question: Are Israelites the principal ancestors of Native Americans? "DNA vs. The Book of Mormon" presents the evidence from DNA researchers, including Mormon scientists, who are wrestling with the DNA dilemma that now faces Mormonism. Participants: Thomas W. Murphy; Dr. Simon Southerton; Dr. Randall Shortridge, and others.

"I went into this research with a huge bias," Meldrum said. "I already knew the answers. Because, you see, I know from a personal, spiritual standpoint that the Book of Mormon is a true document -- that it is a literal history." You see, real scientists don't act like this. They observe the world and then try to explain it. Crackpot apologists look at the world and ignore what they don't like, which contradicts their deeply held beliefs.

Rod Meldrum has been completely discredited and FAIR was forced to retract the boldest statements made in the video. When does an apologist error become an apologist lie?Now there's an uncivil war going on between FAIR and Meldrum. Meldrum is now advocating a great lakes geography which is now heretical, as opposed to the limited geography theory, which used to be heretical. Real, peer-reviewed scientists say 30,000 years. Crackpots,,cowards, and liars like Meldrum refuse peer-review.

Why don't you watch Rod Meldrum's 4-hour long DVD again. Maybe it will be better the second time. And put that 30,000 year figure out of your head. You have watched his DVD, haven't ya?No remember, I'm talking about Rod, not Jeff.

If God changed in the nephites something as you say the book of mormon says then that still puts us back in the place we started. The native americans according to the bom are the ancestors of the lamanites not the nephites. I have read the book of mormon and it blasphemes God in so many ways that it makes me sick.

...messed it up more than it claims to have helped. I've seen too many Christians vote for george w bush (TWICE!!!). If you know the message of Jesus you know God would not want this man in charge, and now it's all come back to bite us all in the ass. The whole world is affected. I like the message of Jesus, I hate those that claim to be the messenger/authority. Take care.

...I just don't like what we as human beings have done to his message. Fighting over abortion, gun rights, gay marriage. Jesus never mentioned any of these things, not even once. This is also one of the reasons why I know Mormons themselves do not have the real answer, because I've seen religion used and change the message to suit what is right for them. Don't get me wrong I feel the same way for Muslims, Catholics, Jehovah's witnesses, and yes Christians, I think all religions have messed....

I'm one of those that do not believe the book of the bible was written by God. I know the authors of the bible, or the official canon that was chosen were all men (maybe one or two women, but doubtful) As Humans we are all fallable. We are not perfect, how can we as humans give a proper interpetation of what God meant or wanted from us. I just think the message from Jesus was something that was very different and completely unique to every human being. I like his message.......

You see what I'm getting at. Yeah faith is faith sure. but when the central story of the book of mormon even has to change the explanation like God changed the Nephites to a different race. This is not the case with Jesus, He was an Isrealite following the lineage of David (according to the bible) There is some historical lineage to the prophecy. Joseph Smith's story has no lineage or any type of prophecy that has come true. Not one. Now Science has almost 100 percent refuted it. I'm just saying

say that Joseph smith made one prediction or proclamation that has been proven right??? I mean Jesus said certain temples would be destroyed (guess what it happened). Joseph Smith was a polygamist that claimed he translated golden plates shown to him from a Native American angel that claimed they came from Isreal. (DNA has proven 99.4 percent certain they came from Northern Asia) There is not one shred of archeological evidence to verify Joseph Smith's story. Not one. There's faith, then there's
