yes stock the WR comes pretty restricted, to meet emissions but after a lil work it has practicaly the same engine as the YZF just a diffrent gearing. And to unplug it is free too. All you got to do is unplug the grey wire, open the airbox, cut the throttle stop, take out the restrictor plug in the pipe (if thats to loud u can get a GYTR insert) they are pretty cheap too. I may be forgeting one or two but after all the free mods the bike rips. Yeah i dont have a helmet cam yet sorry.

well, anyone you ask will say yz250f if they ride motocross or wr250f if they ride trails, but really for me i just wanted a bike that could hold its own for not to much maintence, My WR does just that. I ride with a couple people with YZF's and they wish they had gone with WRF's. But if your going to get into motocross maybe the YZF is for you.

well, the engine itself is just about the same after you unplug the wr. I think the real only diffrence is the way the gearing is set up and the suspension set up. I also will be plating my wr250f and 426f probably next summer, tell me how yours turns out.
