A stock Wrangler is very capable without doing anything to it. The most important thing is to learn to drive it properly. You will probably want some all terrain tires pretty quick though, and then rock sliders and skid plates. Recovery gear is important too, get a hilift, tow strap etc.

i have those same wheels, better clean them if you see much mud. clean them the day you get them dirty, once they loose the original shine, sooo hard to get back. mine sat for 4 months while i was over seas and came bad, the wheels all had thick layer of surface rust, getting somthing new shortly.

Looks like you could use some lockers and lower gears (in axle and/or t-case). Nice rig though, definitely a dificult line.

I recommend if you have 33's manual trans, 4.56's, auto you could get away with 4.10. With 35's manual trans, 4.88's and 4.56 with auto. The auto trans is geared slightly (numericaly) higher than the manual. you can get many parts for the ford axle as well. i'm still running 33's 3.73 with d44. i'll lock both and install 4.56's this winter. |
