Excuse me, but white kids are just as dumb as the minorities especially when most of the white kids don't believe in evolution. Imagine teaching a science class to a bunch of superstitious morons. Not an easy task.Bashing America? No. We need a reality check.

I'm glad Bill said that. When you are that low in so many catergories, you look funny waving the flag and saying we are #1. It is not 1955 and we need to keep up with the times and fix the problems in America.

But since his arrival at HBO in 2002, Bill Maher is not JUST a comedian any more. He would be considred an expert in my eyes. Why else would he be on MSNBC and Fox News?

hey twanbeezy; would you like to come back when you've done some research on illiteracy in america, rather than offering us some racist musings you can "almost guarantee"? I taught adult literacy in virginia for a while, and there were plenty of white folks in need of help. They weren't stupid, in fact their ability to function without being able to read was impressive. America had failed them by providing substandard education, and that goes for people of any race who can't read.

actually it is right wing states with the highest illiteracy rates. we have a terrable education system compared to many other "western" countries such as the UK and sweden. it is generaly a religious thing, they can't teach kids too much or the kids will realize that christianity is a myth. they can't let the churches lose power like that, and the right wing political party is all about christianity.
