Nice post -especially with Driscoll added at the start:well done. I thought it was larry first off speaking then I recognised Driscoll's voice. Excellent post I heard Larry in Belfast1974/5 when I became a Christian and was ticked off by the leader of the fellowship. I'm still glad i went.

When I became a Christian in 1972. A Christian friend introduced me Larry Norman Upon This Rock album. The Upon This Rock is my all time favourite album. And Only Visiting This Planet is my second.

This touching Larry Norman is one of the best. He is one of the reason's why our church music has changed. He did love the Lord. Say Hi to Keith Green for us and other's that touched our lives through music. Mel

Larry Norman was one of the few people who could distil the Gospel messsage into one song that appealed to sooo many. The world has truely lost a great talent, but our loss is heaven's gain.

I've been a Christian for over 25 years, and I first heard of Larry Norman right about the time I was saved. He was one of the very first Christian rockers! He was the REAL DEAL, to be sure. I saw Larry perform once, over twenty years ago, in L.A. county. It was awesome! I've often thought about these lines of this song:..."Some say He was the Son of God, a man above all men. That He came to be a servant and to set us free from sin. And that's who I believe He was,'cause that's who I believe"... |
