my uncle had me punching trees when he trained me, I got good enough to wear out the bark of the tree, all of my knuckles are flat and level, when I throw a punch it's like hitting with a sledge hammer lol

You can add a little style to your uniform and at gloves. To not impede your skill maybe use light gloves with the fingertips cut off.

Your hands are not particularly ugly. I would see them and instantly know that you were MA, but they're not particularly unsightly. Not like Mas Oyama.

That's true, you do get some dislocation(let's say better misslocation:) ) of your kunckles or fingers for life, but I try to keep a balance as far as I can, keeping at least my palms soft as I can because I love to do massage, and a rough hand is a no no for a massage theraphy

Before I was into martial arts my knuckles protruded. When I like it they became flat and my knuckes sank inward. Ironically my friend taught me a new grip in tennis and they popped back out in 3 days. I am now more into martial arts and they are still protruding. Can someone explain that?

How do you train your knuckles to protrude like that, my little knuckle collapsed, and it taking along time to get it back to normal, but it close to normal now, just I don't want to mess up again.

As I have developed them. I still find strength in them. But Tai Chi also uses punches and your hands needs conditioning to a certaim extent. Unless you prefer palm strikes forever.

Your knuckles are huge. I would not wanna be on the receiving end of your punches. |
