if they use any pressure, the wheel can be punctured. The whole point with the tweel is that it's immune to punture.

how about a combination of tweel and a low pressure tire to keep out foreign debris and moisture?

not to mention the fact that you can get dirt/ice/rocks in the crevices and throw off the wheel balance.Until you replace the wheel with something like they had on irobot, the std. pressurized tire is about the apex of car/road interaction

Thats very interesting, i had no-idea anything like that had been developed, there are SO many good things about that product. Apart from when you want to brake hard wont the BD increase by like 100ft... After all they would just flex in on themselves and catch fire or something under emergancy-braking...

cops may not be able to use spikes but they have nets now that wrap around the wheel to stop the car. |
