So many myths are quickly busted as this one and naive gullible individuals continue to believe and defend the hoaxes played on them portraying themselves as such mindless fools. Sad.......... If you saw it happen then you are even that more gullible as they played the hoax on you in person. Just think before you defend and even try for yourself so you don't make a fool of yourself.

cell phones use micro-waves,not the cooking box-thingy, but the actual waves, and microwaves make popcorn pop so no this is not fake.

u guys are dumbasses if u believe it and theres no one under the table if u actually take ten seconds to look up more info its for a bluetooth comercial and if u find the video the ceo admits that its edited video and is actually two different clips of popcorn on the oven and the people with the cell phones
solland91 (August 8, 2008 at 2:00 am)
lmao, yes a tiny battery can put out the same strength of microwaves as plugged in microwave oven. There's a difference of over 100 Volts though.

I don't doubt it. Let's not forget about the gas station fire that was allegedly started in Ohio back in 2002 by someone talking on their cellphone at the pump... If it puts off enough radiation to ignite gasoline vapor, then it really could pop corn.
