From a little girl until her passing when I was eight years old,she has always been and will always be my most favorite gospel singer. NO one can touch her.

for those who think gospel singer are supposed to be untrained listen to this please, this woman had the voice to sing anything she wanted, but her mind is what guided her singing......HER BRAIN!!!!!

This was a spectacular performance. What did the poster do to the end of Mahalia Jackson's beautiful crescendo ending? That was a bit of an interruption of the flow of her spirit.

I'm not the most religious person, but that performance was simply amazing. One of the greatest live recordings I ever heard. It sounded almost like opera.
