Read the rule. It clearly states if a ball passes over the backboard. Not shot over the backboard.
Gophersfootball22 (April 27, 2008 at 12:07 am)
he was out of bonds bined the backbord is out of bonds the very next game for my Minnesota team i did that in the game and it was out of bords
johnmigli (April 12, 2008 at 2:49 am)
that rule is bogus, if the ball is shot inbounds then it should be legal just another ncaa bogus rule.

HOLY SHIPP!!!!!!
carbine23 (April 9, 2008 at 4:40 am)
that's legal. And about the turnover..it's supposed to be a foul..
biggestcalfan45 (April 5, 2008 at 6:34 am)
THAT SHOT IS FUCKING ILLEGAL. I agree it's an amazing shot, but its illegal. If the ball passes over the backboard, its out of bounds. Plain and simple. And the only reason UCLA got the ball was because Ryan Anderson was fouled in the corner. Yes, I know UCLA was the better team, but Cal deserved to win that game hands down.

Just a great play. However, you can see how stupid UCLA's ex-coach Steve Lavin is. On national television, he openly insults the entire UCLA program. "Bel Air Country Club, getting Rick Pitino in my job." So stupid, and just an insult to the entire UCLA program.
