Well, I think China is actually most populous.Sure, they graduate as many engineers as we (presumably, "we" means "USA"), however they have more than triple our population. When nations become wealthy, their birth rates drop dramatically. Even Bangladesh is dropping its birth rate. In this century, the world population will level off, perhaps at around 11 billion.

they keep crossing even when that thing is blocking the traffic. That's why some people get run over. Don't be stupid and wait, it's just one minute.

Where there are rail crossings there is impatience, irregardless of locale.

Certainly the most populous, if anything else and in a state of drastic transition.Keep in mind that statistically, India has graduated an equal number of engineers per annum than the U.S.; But while the U.S.'s rate has flatlined, India's continues to grow.Don't forget, that China graduates more than twice that of both the U.S. & India. It apeears that while we've regaled ourselves in our own blind, chest-beating hubris for so long that we've been supplanted while not looking.

Yet, when I go to India, I have no inclination to do this sort of thing, nor to cling to the outside of a train.

I have been to Bangalore.Smelled the streets, the mixture of curry, sweat, urine and poop. Powerful indeed!Undoubtedly the most powerful nation in the world. |
