I agree, people hear guitar alot better and Jimi was amazing, but so were the people in band of gypsys and the other groups he played with.

yeah, u either have just shredders with no variation, indie/pop bands with no talent or emo/scene alternative bands with lame ass song lyrics and, as u said, just power chords in a boring rhythm and no lead breaks or anything...(not to mention the whiney twat of a singer!)
