I was referring to the audio, not the instrument in the video. The difference can be noted by the high pitch, double course strings and the absence of a skin like "twap" sound... dicksmack.

Four strings, long neck, circular drum like body = Banjo. Mandolin has a more pear shaped, lute like body. And I may be wrong, but mid neck that looks like a fifth thumb string, aka banjo.
