I can respect the way he uses the mixers. aside from the bassline in the beginning, most of what you hear is being recorded and recalled during the performance. you can see him hitting the pedals

I love Andrew Bird, by far my favorite artist these past two years. He can just compose any genre and make it sound beautiful.

Only a tiny part of his show is pre-recorded. Like the piano. He plays almost everything, he just uses a loop pedal to replay what he's already played.

Definitely not for the "old school" types... (ya now the ones that believe in PERFORMING their instruments on stage). I like Bird but it seems like taking the studio on the road is a rip-off for his fans. What next, lip-synching???!!!
