Ran - Norse Goddess of the Sea

Ran the giantess is the sister and wife of Aegir, the giant lord of the sea. Together, they have nine daughters, also called The Waves, and grandmother of the Aesir god Heimdall.She may very well be Asynia.Ran has a magical net which she uses to catch drowning sailors and brings them down to her hall to live with her.
