I actually understood the book(because i'm a nerd like that)And im only 12 years old, I think that book was great,I read it 2 months ago the slang was a little problem but later I knew what it meant later on.

Im almost done with the book.Its really goooddd i love it.the guy that played as holden caulfield sucked at acting. he made holden seem plain o.Obut who cares , right? :D

i agree catcher in the rye is meant for teens and older, you can't get the idea of grieve over loss innocence before you actually lose your innocence, sure kids are smart they are underestimated but intellectual cleverness shouldn't be confused with emotional maturity
