Trailer for the parody of the Japanese Mega-Blockbuster Sinking of Japan. World Sinks Except Japan came out in 2006. Sorry no subs but it is out on legit Region 3 DVD with English subs.What would happen if all the continents in the world sank, leaving only Japan above water? With its tongue stuck firmly in its cheek that's exactly what this film explores. Now the only superpower in the world, Japan is able to dictate the law. English as the global language? Not any more. Whale meat back on the menu? You bet. This is a world where 12.5 million non-Japanese refugees are homeless and Schwarzenegger is reduced to performing tricks in bars for money. This hilarious satire pokes fun at global superpowers, western traditions and foreign immigrants. And remember, it could happen!

Ah DAMN! I saw a copy of this in a DVD shop in Singapore last month. Seeing the trailer made me regret not buying the movie.

Oh yeah, I also loved Den Ace, who gets a superpower (of being a giant) when downing a beer :DThe Foreigner Forecast, Gaijin Attack Team, suicide bombing Defense Minister (with a randomly waving flag during his epic speech) and Kim Jong Il were pretty awesome too.
