Lovely video involving the Routemaster, pleased to see that one is being looked after, even if he no longer owns it. You may be interested (or not) that I was on the last ever model ever built by Leyland. It has a plaque in it to celebrate, it was never in service and was just for shows and TV production. (of which I was in the latter).Cheers

I think it's great how people have such admiration for this humbling peice of iconic engineering - after decades of rolling through a labyrinth of medieval roads it gets a well deserved retirement.

Some were re-engined, using cummins engines, not sure about Perkins.I think AEC stopped production in the 70's.
