Books? lol.The carvings are far from meaningless. The Mayans had basically 17 calendar-wheels, which were superimposed upon one another. There was basic everyday solar calendar for the laity (365.25 days) and another called the tzolkin (in cycles of 13 20-day periods.) These were the two most often used. The other calendars tracked the cycles of the moon, planets and faraway bodies (with cycles of thousands of years, including the 25,800 year cycle of the galactic center. And they're accurate.

how does anyone know that the mayan calender was so accurate. They did not leave any books and their carvings are meaningless.I smell bullshit
