Right mtmcb. Had the Hendrix debate with people so many times who are convinced he's playing upsidedown it's sickening. In the old days lefty guitars weren't readily available. If you were left handed you either flipped the strings like Hendrix, learned to play upside down like Dale or learned to play right handed like Joe Perry.

His guitar is different from Hendrix's. Both play left-handed, but Dale kept the strings like a right-handed guitar,so now the skinny strings are on top and the fat strings are on the bottom. Hendrix changed the strings to fat on top,skinny ones on bottom - creating a "mirror image" of a righty. Dale's approach is upside down/backwards, but the guitar body is mirrored,leaving the bigger cut-out on bottom. Hedrix was left with the small cut out on bottom. It doesn't seem to have been an obstacle.

Frankly, I think he's overrated. First off, he's the self proclaimed king of surf guitar. No one called him that.Secondly, he kind of only does the one thing: tremelo picking and descending dives.Thirdly, as far as surf music goes the Ventures, Shadows, and Surfaris own the genre. He's just a single man, and his band now sucks. A bunch of young kids playing straight beats stuff while he solos. The worst live show I'v ever seen.

Dick Dales <3.Sad to say but the way I discovered Dick Dale was through Guitar Hero to. Of all songs Misirlou was fav. Then I youTube and wiki him and was like this guy is awesome *foams in mouth* how come I went though 20 years of life without knowing. T_____T

Anyone here ever see the G3 with Steve vai and Joe Satriani? They had Mr Malmsteen and Eric Johnson on 2 of them. Sorry for my spelling errors. But anywase I would love to see a g3 with all of them together. That would be pure insainity. The 3 greatest guitar players to ever live in one room. It makes me drool. lol
