Prior to 9/11, there was talk of turning it into a prison, but to keep prisoners held underground 24hour/day was considered inhumane. It was very secure and functional. It just needed some updated equipment. You can never be too safe...2 NORADs are better than one (North Bay & Colorado that is)

NORAD still needs all submarines clocks to be syncronized to Norad atomic clock..Atomic submarine's atomic clock. Can be powered and energized by a solar clock but doesn't use sun power but only by laser light which is absorbed in clock's solar panel cells or photo voltaic cells which absorb laser light, converts it to electrical power then sends it to it's atomic submarine clock.The reason to use this. Not smart to have any electrical wires they could cause more radiation.
