Αλεξανδρος-Alexandros does not mean strong man...let us be more carefull with our Greek:Αλεξ-ALEX=being against, repulsing, defending or protecting against (we say αλεξιβροχο-alexivroho=protecting against rain or αλεξικεραυνο-alexikeravno=protection from lightning, etc)Ανδρας-Andras, of course is man.A proper translation of ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ-ALEXANDROS into English would be : defender/protector against (enemy) men.
