I would call this herbert SOUL, sounds a bit like The Housemartins, and they were influenced mostly by Northern/Tamla SOUL and some punk. To my knowledge, they were the only ever skinhead soul band. Also the first to have a more sporty style (adidas trainers/boots)

saw Them at a Gig supporting the Dead Kennedys at the Brixton Ace in London. What a Great Lineup!
