there is no debate in my oppinion about arnel i mean the guy can reach higher notes then steve ontop of which he sounds almost exact to steve...dont get me wrong i love steve...lets face it with out steve arnel would not be here right now...but steve built a ladder and arnel climbed it...he took advantage of a great situation and by doing so aloud journey atleast another ten good years of new music...ontop of arnels own career after words...

man i agree and when you talk guitar gods he definatly isnt a name that normally comes up...i agree hendrix, clapton...but then you have the shredding gods Malmsten, paul gilbert, micheal angelo batio, steve via, and other great legends..

Who knows what really happened between the group and Perry...and well, whatever! These guys in the band are tour monsters and just keep needing singers who are willing to do that. Arnel does sound great, and it really is a touching story of his personal 'journey' to where he is now. Hopefully Arnel will hang with them for awhile and not mind touring like they are still living in 1978.

Youre absolutely right.Journey without Perry wont be same as before.So just enjoy your old cds and cassettes of Perry.It really wont be the same because i think Journey sounds even better now with their new frontman.

I'm sorry but Journey isn't Journey without Steve Perry even if they replaced him with someone that sounds alot like him it's just not the same without Steve.
