that is true. 2 really learn hebrew you need to talk to israelies. its like when i lived in israel, my english was decent but it wasnt till i moved here to america and learned more of the "local slang"its same with hebrew. i took a hebrew class in highschool just so i dont forget it, and i had the opportunity to help some kids in class by talking to them in israeli slang hebrew :)

Is your goal fluent speaking? Then you need regular conversations with israels. If you goal is reading-there are good resources to help with prayer book, Torah etc.

Wow, this is an incredible program. I have been going to a perelman school since gan. I am currently finishing their middle-school now. I cannot afford Barrack. (Akiba) I have very good hebrew at this point. However, I want to make sure I can be with other jews, and keep the hebrew speaking part of my brain active. What do you reccomend for me? |
